Painting of three women with long flowing hair and roses in their hair, with a mirror reflecting one of them, on a wooden panel background with swirling patterns and roses.
Ode to Sisterhood explores the mysterious ties that may or may not bind three women together. Are they sisters in the true sense of the word, bound by family and shared memories? Are they close, distant, have they met at all? They inhabit the same world, yet each appears caught within her own thoughts. Their glances, gestures and silences leave their relationship deliberately unresolved, inviting the viewer to imagine the story between them.
The accompanying triptych continues the story rather than repeating it. The three women appear again, separated within their own panels and surrounded by the same symbolic language of roses, delicate lines and ornament. Seen together, the Art Screen and Wall Art leave the same question unanswered: what is it that connects these three women, if anything at all?
